Whitewater Rafting Soča River

Preparing for our rafting tours is simple! You only need to bring a swimsuit (to wear under the wetsuit) and a towel for after the trip. We ensure you are fully equipped with all technical gear, including a professional wetsuit, life vest, helmet, and neoprene boots. Just arrive in your normal clothes, and we will take care of the rest.

You do not need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you should be comfortable in the water. You will be equipped with a professional life vest that keeps you floating. That said, we want you to enjoy the view, not worry about the water. If you are doubting your swimming skills, please contact our team.

Soča river rafting is one of the few adventures that’s still great on a rainy day. You’ll get wet anyway, and the Soča river is just as stunning in the rain.

Not with our gear! We provide thick wetsuits specially designed for colder spring weather and on those very cold days you’ll even get neoprene gloves to keep you warm. Spring or autumn often offer the most exciting rapids of the year and you’ll have the whole Soča river to yourself!

This section of the river is incredibly photogenic. We encourage you to bring a waterproof action camera (must be hands-free) to film your Soča river rafting adventure! Our helmets are equipped with GoPro mounts for convenience. We advise against bringing phones as they are easily lost or damaged in the water. Please remember, any camera gear you bring is at your own risk.

Yes, please do! The Soča river is too beautiful to take home a blurry memory. You are welcome to wear glasses during rafting on the Soča. We do advise that they are secured with a sports strap though.

Yes!  We will team you up with other travelers to form a full crew. Because our groups are small and friendly, solo travelers often finish the trip with new friends.

Absolutely not! Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced paddler, our guides will teach you the necessary techniques. 

Our rafts can fit up to 8 guests. Sometimes we have to limit that number to 6 guests due to high or low water level of the river. If your group is bigger than that, we must split you for safety and capacity reasons. However, rafting on the Soča is a team sport. Our guides keep the boats close, so you are in fact doing the tour together, just in different rafts. 

Although the Soča River is one of the cleanest in the world, preserving it requires an ongoing effort.

Our tours run during quieter times, follow a leave-no-trace approach, and we commit 1% of each booking to support regular clean-ups of the Soča riverbanks, access paths, and surrounding areas carried out by our own team.

The famous emerald color of the Soča is part of its everyday beauty and you will get to see it on most days. As a true alpine river, its appearance can temporarily shift after intense rainfall or snowmelt, when fine mountain sediments naturally color the water in pale turquoise or grey hues.
