The experience
Prove you’re still young by ignoring your survival instinct for a few hours. We didn’t name it the Midlife Crisis because it’s relaxing.
It starts with a few friendly warm-up jumps that trick you into thinking, ‘Hey, this is easy.’ Don’t fall for it. This is the Soča valley’s wildest canyon – steeper and much rougher than the others. Once the real descent begins, the ground disappears and doesn’t come back.
You will face a chain of high technical rappels that demand your full attention. And the grand finale? It is a mesmerizing drop where the bottom is hidden by mist. We won’t tell you exactly how far you have to go. Some secrets are better discovered while hanging by a thread. You wanted a challenge? Here it is.

Getting ready for our canyoning tours is easy! You only need to bring a swimsuit (to wear under the wetsuit) and a towel for after the trip. We ensure you are fully equipped with all necessary gear, including a warm wetsuit, canyoning harness, helmet, and canyoning shoes. Just arrive in your normal clothes, and we will take care of the rest.
You don’t need perfect technique, just basic water confidence. The pools in the canyon can be deep but they are small. Your thick wetsuit also acts like a personal floatation device, keeping you on the surface effortlessly.
This canyoning tour takes place in a wilder environment with fewer exit points. While the tour is enjoyable in light rain, we need to be cautious. In case of heavier rain, we may need to postpone or cancel for safety. We will notify you of changes, but feel free to contact us before booking if the forecast looks uncertain.
Not with our gear! We provide extra-thick wetsuits and neoprene gloves specifically for these months. You’ll stay warm while enjoying the canyon at its most beautiful and most quiet. Warm gear, no crowds!
We recommend the “Midlife Crisis” canyoning for guests who want maximum adventure. While you don’t need prior experience, this is not a ‘lazy’ tour. It is physically demanding and exposed. You must be comfortable with heights and ready for a very active day. If you want to skip the easy stuff and jump straight into a serious canyoning adventure, this is the challenge for you!
If you have previous canyoning experience and feel confident, you can ask to rappel yourself on this canyoning tour. Our guides are open to this, provided they verify your skills first. Ultimately, the guide decides based on the water conditions and your competence whether it is safe for you to handle the rope independently.
You are welcome to bring a waterproof camera like a GoPro. Our helmets have standard mounts for hands-free filming. We do not recommend bringing phones, even in waterproof cases, as they can get damaged against the rocks. Please note that bringing any camera is at your own risk.
Seeing clearly is important. So yes, you are welcome to wear them – properly secured using a sports strap for glasses (we have some available). Another excellent option for canyoning is to wear contact lenses combined with swimming goggles.
Small groups mean better quality. We keep our “Midlife Crisis” canyoning tours to a maximum of 6 people to ensure personal attention.
Although the Soča Valley is one of the cleanest in the world, preserving it requires an ongoing effort.
Our tours run during quieter times, follow a leave-no-trace approach, and we commit 1% of each booking to support regular clean-ups of the Soča riverbanks, access paths, and surrounding areas carried out by our own team.
